Degree

Millikin University Student Project: PipeDreams Studio Theatre (April 2007)

Conceived, Directed, and Designed by Steve Moore

Degree was an experiment inspired by the writings of Robert Edmund Jones in which Steve and the ensemble discovered ways in which a performer may find physical impulses from different kinds of theatrical light to move in different ways. The theories and vocabulary behind Laban Movement Analysis were used to discuss what the ensemble discovered. The four kinds of light which were developed were direct, indirect, responsive, and spatial.
